Take a look around myLot right away and see what other people are discussing. Then, it's simple, just jump into the discussion. Don't try to blatantly hi-jack someone else's discussion topic or try to re-direct others away from the topic, just comment, answer questions that have been asked, offer your opinion. If your opinion differs from some viewpoints, that's fine. Probably a lot of myLot members don't agree - in the same way that you aren't in agreement with a certain viewpoint. Some people will want to read about what you think, even if it's different. Maybe seeing YOU POST something will make them feel like they can freely discuss something that they previously weren't going to discuss!
It's not just all about your posts. You are rewarded for participating in already-started discussions, too. Comment on anything that you feel strongly about. Get involved!
There are some interesting groups on myLot. Business groups, charity threads, fitness posts, self-help information, parenting tips, even some out-right 'RANT' threads that are actually pretty interesting.
Perhaps you'll get to chatting with someone you really enjoy sharing ideas with.
